Our 2025 US Agencies Benchmarking Report was jam-packed with insights. To conclude our blog series, we are breaking down the top specialism featured in the report: brand. Find out the top B2B brand marketing agencies in the USA, alongside some commentary around the data and much more.
Before we dive into the data, it is worth noting how we collect data for our specialisms. In our survey of 29 agencies, we asked agencies to check off what services and capabilities they offered. This included everything from PR and demand generation to sales enablement and much more. After checking those off, agencies were then asked to use the same list to identify the top three specialism services they offer. Using the data from that specific question, we created specialist league tables. To make it clear what we define as a brand, we stated it as ‘Brand services (includes brand development and communication, plus purpose-led initiatives)’.
Out of the 29 agencies, 19 (65.5%) stated that brand was one of their top three specialisms which was far and away the top specialism amongst agencies. In addition, 93.1% of agencies stated that they offer branding services to some capacity. The other top specialisms included content marketing and demand generation, but we were curious why agencies are making branding services a top priority this year?
We spoke to Darren Coleman, Brand Expert, Propolis and he commented: “It’s encouraging to see brand play such a prominent role in this report. It clearly indicates there is a strong demand for brand-related services in the US and so a clear understanding of the value intangible assets, such a brand play, in developed markets such as the US.”
He added: “Brand building is entering something of a golden era in marketing. We have never had some much evidence to show the commercial value brands add to company value, revenues and margins to name a few. This is particularly important – and encouraging – as historically brand marketers have had a very difficult time convincing the C-suite to invest in brand. That’s not to say the job is easy. Far from it but, smart brand marketers are well informed and know how to use widely available evidence to make a strong business case for brand.”
And so who was the best in brand? Check out the top five B2B brand agencies as well as a link to some of their services. Just like our other league tables, agencies were ranked based on the highest gross income to the lowest.
Coming in at the top spot is Marketbridge with a gross income of $56.3 million, which was also listed as the #1 specialist in demand generation, as well as #2 overall in our main league table. In second place is Gravity Global, an agency that has experienced a number of milestones in 2024 and 2025, including key appointments, award wins and growth drivers.
